Your ground brings forth plentifully. Every year the harvest comes in, and every year you choose what it is for: bigger barns, life lived, or hands opened. You will not be told how many years you get; that is the point of the story.

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?Luke 12:20
KJV. Jesus tells this parable against covetousness (Luke 12:15), not against saving. The ant stores for winter (Proverbs 6:8) and is called wise; the fool stores for nothing but 'ease, eat, drink, be merry,' with no one else in the story. The difference is purpose.
Saving is commended in Scripture; hoarding is warned against. Where is the line? Saving and foresight · Contentment and simplicity
