Bible vs Money

Bible & Money · Concordance

Scripture on money, book by book

Updated 2026-07-31 · Sources: 2 · 455 passages · 52 books

Every passage this site leans on, grouped by the book it comes from. The text is printed in full from the World English Bible, which is public domain, so you can read the words here rather than take our word for what they say.

Each reference is machine-checked against a local copy of the WEB before the site builds: a reference that does not resolve fails the build, and a reference whose text does not match the theme we filed it under is flagged for a human to read. Theme assignment and the editorial notes are judgement, not verification; see how we read Scripture on money before applying any of it.

How to read this index

The passages are filed under 20 working themes, which this site presents through its sixteen theme pages. A passage about a labourer's wage, for instance, reaches both honesty in business and poverty and justice, because the text carries both. Where a passage is commonly turned against its own context, the warning sits beside the verse rather than on a separate page.
